[He lets out a small sigh before shutting the door behind her, making sure to latch the chain lock before moving toward the stairs. Even the way he walks doesn't carry the same air of authority as it once did, though he does a pretty good job at masking his discomfort. Without looking at her he makes his way upstairs, his hand resting on the railing as he goes. It's dusty, as if it hasn't been touched in weeks.
